It is at the 4300 block of W. Flamingo Rd., a fair distance west of the Strip. It was built by the Maloof family who owns a basketball team in California, the Sacramento Kings (?) come to mind. It failed a couple of times and went through various ownerships. Even the very experienced Station Casinos operators failed to make a go of it. It is now owned by the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. It opened with 700 rooms, a 42 story tower was added, then a condo building. It is ,so far, the only Vegas resort with a built in recording studio. But, it does have a Playboy club, the only one to open in many years.
