For enthusiasts of that sport the very best place close to the strip is, without a doubt, Boulder City. Just twenty miles south of center strip it offers a large collection of trails of all kinds. The best part of it is the parking. Large parking lots are available throughout. As a matter of fact, Boulder City hosts and annual mountain biker get together, with vendors arriving from all over the west to show their new stuff. Just drive into town on the Nevada Way and you will see the directional signs. Hotels/motels/trailer parks are all nearby. Boulder City is a very safe town, crime is almost unheard of.
