The donkeys are fairly close to Las Vegas a lot of times. They can often be seen at the Spring Mountain State Park which is almost withingthe Las Vegas City limits. Old time miners freed them after they no longer were needed. Just drive up Flamingo Road and you automatically arrive at the park. Mustangs are mostly at the very small settlement of Cold Creek, about 30 miles from center strip, at the Spring Mountain area. http://www.parks.nv.org
