The Hand of Faith Nugget
on display at the Golden Nugget Hotel in down town Las Vegas, 129 Fremont St. The largest nugget found to date with a metal detector..Kevin Hiller of Australia must have been happy to find aa almost 876 troy ounces nugget just below the surface. It is crazy, Australia had a gold rush at the same time California had a a gold rush, from the 1850’s through the 1860’s. The Hand of Faith nugget was sold in 1850 for about a million dollars. It would be many millions today, gold has increased in value during that time. Nuggets far larger were discovered during the early days of the Australian gold rush. None of those survived, I believe. http://www.goldennuggetvegas.com
