Here is a list of casinos that are not directly on the strip, but well worth you attention. They are the smaller properties that cater mainly to the local crowd. When we say small, it does not really mean small. It means they are small compared to the gigantic places that are along the strip. Some of the off-strip hotels sport hundred of rooms, large gambling areas and an assortment of dining options. Check out the list, even if it is for fun only. Here goes, not by size or alphabet, just randomly.:
The Palms, 4321 W. Flamingo, The Plaza, One Main Street, down town Las Vegas It anchors Fremont St. , The Aliante, 7300 Aliante Parkway. Quite a few miles from the strip, a gorgeous property. Ellis Island, a couple of blocks east of the strip, well known for its brewery and very affordable meals, Rampart Hotel/Casino, a few miles west of the strip in an upscale part of town. A pretty large place with tons of free parking and lots of amenities, The Orleans features New Orleans ambience, 4500 West Tropicana, Sunset Station, on Sunset Road/Stephanie. Part of the Station Casinos Group. Good food at reasonable prices, Durango, at the Durango off ramp of the 215, about 15 miles east of the strip. This one is brand new, opened in 2023. Another Station Casinos property. Barley's, small place on Sunset Rd. Silverton, pretty large hotel with lots of free parking covered or parking lot. Take the Blue Diamond off-ramp when traveling west on the I -15.
