One is on the strip, the other is off the strip. On the strip, and getting ready to open is the gigantic Fontainebleau. I mean it, 68 floors and 3,600 rooms. It is at the 2700 block of Las Vegas Blvd. S. It has not opened yet. We tried to visit a couple of days ago (8/25/2023) , but could not get in. The second property is the Durango Hotel/Casino, conveniently located at the off ramp of the SR-215 and Durango Blvd. It is part of the Station Casinos portfolio of properties. It is designed for locals mostly. But since it is brand new from the ground up, it may be wort taking a look. About ten miles north of center strip. Perhaps a couple more, but not very far. We have not yet visited as of this date (8/25/2023). The opening date has not been announced. Las Vegas changes constantly, properties get blown up/torn down/bulldozed. The same Station Casinos business recently bulldozed three of its casinos and sold off the land. They were: Fiesta Henderson, Fiesta Ranch, Texas Station. They were my favorites.
We always try to help local artists.and donate this expensive space. We have three books that are very entertaining. They are: Nevada a Strange State, Silveropolis, and The Great Lake Mead Water Caper. They are Available on Amazon.
