Bad Numbers
I don’t know how much of it is seasonal, or a real down turn. Time will tell. The current administration makes it a point to aggravate our best customers. Canadians for example, and Europeans. Those are the folks with the money. They now are afraid to show up at the U.S. border afraid they will be turned away. Here are the scary numbers for the week ending July 5.Occupancy is down 16.8% to 66.7%. That is astounding. We here in Vegas will be in real trouble if the numbers do not improve in the fall/winter season. It usually is the busy season. Even worse is the revenue per room which is down 28.7% to $102.75. I am just wondering if the same is happening at other resort destinations. Like Orlando, or Miami, and California.
