This area is different from the Tule Springs Fossil Beds site. Where the Tule Springs site is within the city limits and is a state project, the national monument is a federal area of immense size. it as almost 23,000 acres in size and about 20 miles north of the strip, and filled with fossils. No fossil collecting allowed here. But still very interesting. http://www.nps.org

We put a lot of time and resources in helping local artists. We donate this valuable space for example. The artist this month is a local author, a very interesting and attention grabbing artist if I say so myself. His three books we feature here are among his best.
