The reason we mention this airport at all is because it is so dang convenient. It practically adjoins the strip. Its old entrance, in fact, was at the strip. This airport is so conveniently located it is theoretically possible to walk to the strip. within a reasonable time. I have not checked the distances but I would wager that the farthest strip hotels, Resorts World the Sahara and the Stratosphere are about only six miles distance from the airport. When it comes to downtown it would be ten to twelve miles. It all is very close and compact.It also is the only airport that we know of that offers the traveler a chance to lose the rest of the money by playing the slots before departure.
