About 85 miles north of Las Vegas. The little town of Rachel is a popular jumping off point. The surrounding area is utterly desolate, but tourist traffic is brisk. Mysterious flying saucers, lights in the sky, earth rumbles. It is all here. And here also are the souvenirs and trinkets. I myself cannot resist buying “space junk”. It all has a certain intrigue.And this is the Extraterrestrial Highway, complete with the Black Mailbox. Go ahead, send a letter to your favorite alien. All you need is the right address and, of course, the right stamp. The friendly folks inside the souvenir shop will help you with that.
