I have eaten at several different restaurants in that hotel and I can truly say for what they charge the food is bad, real bad. This is their "so called" coffee shop. I was brave enough to order the Huevos Rancheros scrambled hard. What I received was an egg pancake, some bad tasting chips, canned frijoles (beans) and what appeared to be some canned salsa. If they had charged like $2.99 I would have said fine, you get what you pay for. In this case I received a meal whose raw material cost was less than 75 cents. So, OK, I have to pay rent for the table and silverware, let's say $2. Include a 100% profit margin and you get $5.50. They charged me $7.95 plus $2.10 for iced tea. I am a retired chef and I know what's what. On top of it all it has come to my attention many of the restaurants at this hotel are run by a large restaurant management comp. that refuses to pay their help little more than min. wage. Well, enough of the social commentary. What really got my gall is the fact the food server never returned my change. I had to complain to the restaurant manager about it. So, it was only a few cents, but that still doesn't make it right. Avoid this place, in fact avoid all the restaurants at this hotel. I have not yet had a decent meal there. Try Mandalay Bay instead.
