Aladdin
3667 S. Las Vegas Bl., Tel: 702-736-0111
The Desert Storm. Cute show with thunder lightning and rain. Fantastic sound
system, I think it is THX. The architectural details in the Desert Passage
shopping mall are astounding. |
Bellagio
3600 S. Las Vegas Bl. Tel: 702-693-7111
A water show visible from Las Vegas Bl. and from inside the hotel. Dancing
fountains with their own musical score. Very impressive. After you have seen
the water show you could enter the building, admire the million dollar
chandelier in the lobby of the hotel and then make your way to the
Conservatory, an impressive display of plants, trees, flowers. There are 1200
bins of flowers that are changed monthly. The Bellagio has its own greenhouse
but I don't think it is open to the public.

to a free concert also. Mostly on weekends. The light show comes on every so
many hours. |

This one is downtown at Fremont street and consists of old casino signage. Only

Rio - Masquerade
Show in the Sky

It is on Flamingo but it is within sight and walking distance of the strip. A
very unique show that you just have to see. A Mardi Gras in the sky, with
floats, giant masks, and entertainers all circling the casino suspended from
the ceiling. Free gifts too, if you are fast enough to grab one. Shows at 4, 5,
6, 8, 9, & 10 daily. |
The Shark Reef
At Mandalay Bay, 3950 S. las Vegas Bl. Tel: 702-632-7777
It is like a glass tunnel where the fish swim all around you. Except at the
bottom. Real nice. If you have a few minutes to spare I would go and see.

Treasure Island
3300 S. Las Vegas Bl., Tel: 702-894-7111
This show is without a doubt the best free show value in town. Every couple of
hours a British Man O'War takes on a bunch of pirates right here in the desert.
After the battle all hands probably repair to the nearest pub to splice the
main brace. |
