| Some
advice before you go to any of the Las Vegas shows. 1) Get yourself one of the magazines that are available for free at dispensers throughout Las Vegas, for example "What's On". They are full of $5 and $10 coupons for certain shows. That can cut your bill by quite a bit. 2) Do not order mixed drinks. Most of them are nothing but flavored water. 3) Only order bottled beer, no telling what you get from the tap. 4) Order wine in corked bottles only. There is no telling what you will get otherwise. 5) Most of the larger shows have assigned seating. No need to grease the sweaty palms of some slick Maitre d'. 6) No need to stand in line at the larger shows. The seating is assigned. No matter what you do, you will not get a different seat. Someone else is already there. 7) Before you get comfortable make yourself familiar with the emergency exits. 8) SHOWS CHANGE VERY OFTEN. CALL BEFORE YOU GO! |

Sahara Performers portraying Frank Sinatra and others on Franks birthday party Dec. 12, 1961.Various showtimes. Call them. $34.95 plus service charge (what the heck is it with this gimmick?) plus tax. I do not like this service charge idea. Why can't this hotel flat out state what the price of the show is? Excalibur Medieval jousting show. Dinner is served in medieval fashion, no flatware. So, prepare yourself, go to the coffee shop first and rip-off some forks and knives. 6 pm and 8:30 pm nightly. $39.95+. Although this show is directed mainly at the younger crowd it holds a lot of appeal for older persons too. I have seen it several times and have always enjoyed it. Monte Carlo Tue.-Sat. 7pm and 10pm. $54.95 for balcony and $59.95 for mezzanine seating. Not as good as some of the other shows in town. A bit repetitive, for me anyway, but Lance is likeable and down-to-earth and has always been one of the smoothest magicians you'll see. Entierly appropriate for kids if you have 'em. Tickets: 702-730-7160, or 877-386-8224. |
||

Mirage Various times. Includes souvenir program. $100.50. Really good show. It has everything, magic, effects, tigers and elephants. One thing about elephants when they have to go they go. I have seen it happen and the audience close to the stage wound up quite messy. So, think about that. Tickets: 702-796-9999 |
||
Sahara Another magician. Can the entertainment directors think of something else once in a while? Various times. $34.95 plus tax and service charge. Here we go again with that service charge. Why not forget about it and go elsewhere? Tickets: 702-737-2515, or |
