Le Pamplemousse

400 E Sahara Ave.
One of the oldest, if not the oldest, French restaurant in town.  Located in an little old-time Vegas building a couple blocks off the Strip, for fine French cuisine it is the real deal.  The food is magnificent, and the pricing is up there but not bad compared to what they charge on the Strip lately. I would call the decor French country, really nice and relaxing. This is top notch French cooking from appetizers to desserts (where can you get a soufflé Grand Marnier these days?)  They offer a range of prix fixe menus as well as a la carte selections.  There is also at least one vegetarian selection.  pamplemousserestaurant.com

Mon Ami Gabi

In the Paris Hotel on S. Las Vegas Blvd.
The seats in the conservatory overlook the fountains at the Bellagio across the street. Good food, high prices, elegant decor are the hallmarks here. Looks a bit like a Parisian restaurant. Steaks and shellfish are their forte.
