Something is shaking on the Strip. The Riviera Hotel is the next one in a long list of hotel implosions. It will be demolished to make room for a new convention center. I am not too surprised. Personally I never did like the place. I think this makes number fifteen in the number of hotels imploded in Las Vegas. That has to be some kind of record.
Now something about the SLS. To me it looks shaky too. The buffet is gone, one of their restaurants is gone. I think they cater to the wrong demographic. Last time I checked I noticed a lot of mid twenties. Lots of girls with heavy make-up. Not much table or slot action. I think those folks are a little short on cash, not what you want in a casino. Well, time will tell.
